A warmly toned guitar begs to be heard amidst the streets of Madrid, the very birthplace of the Ramirez name and the 1NE itself — a sound more distinct is rare to find. This Ramirez guitar speaks exactly this language, the voicings of Madrid and the history of Spain. The fretboard on this model is easily tamed by the left hand, giving the player bending-ease and resounding harmonics. Players will also notice how the cedar meshes with the sound of the guitar to vocalize the depth and seriousness of this instrument — a very, very warm instrument at a warm price.

The José Ramírez 1NE classical guitar possesses intricate tonal characteristics that belong intimately to this brand. This instrument is very loyal to soft and hard playing as the audience will always hear the astonishing tone of the guitar either way.

The 1NE has an amazing intonation, very good string separation and an enchanting voice. It is very well built, with consistent attention to details in its decoration and finish. Very elegant both in sound and in presence.

We have played a large variety of repertoire in it, Villa Lobos, Tárrega, Bach, di Meola, Metheney, Clapton, de Lucía, finding innumerable possibilities of colors and textures. When strung with the best Hannabach sets, the guitar produces a super classical sound; while the Knobloch sets have given us an incredible array of sounds that work perfectly for more jazz-contemporary oriented music.

An excellent choice for aficionados, pre conservatory musicians or comping guitarists.
