The Ramirez 2NE goes hand-in-hand with the latin genres of Flamenco and Spanish music. A very joyful guitar to play with a jovial tone, the 2NE’s bright, open sound is perhaps surpassed only by its elegant looks. An all solid-wood model, the guitar speaks in a resounding voice that reverberates a dance all its own. And like all the modernized NE guitars, this instrument is light to the touch while maintaining its rich and lavish Ramirez tone.

This classical guitar hasn´t had the recognition it deserves. It has a very good projection for its price and a personality of its own. We have played several pieces of Bach, both in studio and live situations with amazing results. The definition is outstanding and string separation is quite dazzling. Same for jazz pieces, both solo or in an ensamble. Melodies are super expressive and comping is full and generous. We also love the harmonics and the character of the middle section.

The José Ramírez 2NE is a gorgeous instrument that we would recommend to a conservatory student - either classical or jazz, pop player – or any aficionado. Impossible to be dissapointed. Also, if you have been playing for sometime and are thinking of an upgrade, this Ramirez is the way to go.

It is strung with Ramirez Middle Tension Strings, which work well for rehearsing, but we definitely advise the guitarist to try it with Knobloch Strings. The guitar opens incredibly well as its musical characteristics are enhanced immediately.

All in all, a super versatile nylon string guitar at a very reasonable price.
