Music is LIFE.

Music is life, it’s a simple sentiment.

We connect with music as individuals and as a collective and it changes us, helps us heal, helps us overcome but in the same instance can bring out the pain. We experience music, it moves us, it creates lasting impressions, it is indelible and delicate, it is brutal and unforgiving. Music is an enigma; an enigma for each of us to decipher in our own way.

I have loved music ever since I could remember but I’ve also had a complex history with it. Now, as I’m getting older, I realize that all the other things I use to covet, fell aside, when I realized that music is the thing that makes my soul align with God and the universe. I realized not long ago that making music is my true calling, but it’s not about money (though that would be super great) it’s about sharing parts of myself, the parts that can teach others, that can guide others, that can help others recognize their goodness. It’s a bold goal, but I know, the way for me to make a difference in this country, in this world, is through my gift of music.

So, that leads me to my daily routine. I hope, I pray, I work, I create, I share; all in the hopes that I find my way through the noise and my music finds all of your ears. Everyday I do something to move me forward. I write, I study, I make music, I procrastinate. All so that I can create music that may just brush that nostalgic feeling, to remind us of the good, the wholesome, the powerfully quiet moments we tend to forget. About the last touch, or smell or feeling you had that made you grateful to be alive. That is why I’m doing this, why I gave up everything else I know to go after this. But, I’m still human, I’m still learning and I’m certainly not perfect but I’m learning to be grateful for that.

When I was young I wanted to be a musician and I knew I was good, but I enjoyed the parties and drugs more than the hard work and dedication. By the time I was 23 I realized I needed to change my life. I went 180 degrees and steered clear of music because of how it triggered me but as I got older, I realized what I had been doing was depriving my soul of its life force. So, I’ve decided to commit to this music thing, now with much more life experience and inner strength. I know this is what I’m meant to do and if you’re reading this, I hope you’ll help me achieve my goals!
